He laughed with McCoy when he joked about the chickens and still kept a cherry look on his face when he went through the things that were going on with the crew medically.
I'm sure there will be nothing ordinary about this day. Just like people our job be unpredictable. As far as no Vulcans on the ship that could change but for the moment there appears to be an absence of the pointed ear type. I know how fond of them you are after working with Spock for so long.
He paused for a moment to gather his thoughts.
I am however, grateful, that you keep yourself taken care of. I think this place would fall apart without at least one healthy Doctor around.
He then coughed a little grabbing his chest.
Must be the shock of having to actually put this old thing back on getting to me. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for the people you said would be coming in here for different things. Any new developments on the experiments being ran or have the staff been left to their own devices in that area?

You look good in a uniform, Regal. Hell, I wore one most of my professional life. As you can see the Captain gave me an NCO rank. He even allowed me to wear the old medical insignia from the Enterprise.
This uniform I'm wearing now, was what we had when they first refit the ship. We had just got the ship running when we had to go off to investigate this thing called "V-Ger".
I had been in private practice up until then, until one day a couple Starfleet security goons showed up and literally apprehended me. Jim Kirk wouldn't take the Enterprise out without me there, so he had me drafted! ::Laughs::
Now exactly what experiments are you talking about?

Smiles and then laughs some. Sounds like you had good crew mates to go out on missions with. As for the exsperiments. There were a few blood samples I know going through the works to recalberate the scanner and then there was the more exstensive study on penicilian in its natural form that some of the recent medical graduates were working on. I don't know the progress on them because I have been out of it for so long that this feels like the first day I have been on duty.

Oh, that, ::McCoy replies.:: Well everyone knows penicillin in it's natural state is basically mold. They entered it as an experiment. Fact of the matter is, they wanted roquefort cheese for their salads. I used to love the stuff.
As far as the old crew I had, It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. But you know what? I wouldn't trade those days for all the women on Risa.
We were a family. We depended on each other and we trusted one another. That's what Brock wants for this ship, only back then our ships were mostly human crews. Today, we have people of many races and cultures together so it's whole different ball game.

Conner thought for a moment before laughing a little. I thought that is what they were up to but I wasn't going to stop themHe then smiled and contiued. .Might be different from the time you and Scotty and Spock and Kirk were out exsploring the galxy, but if it weren't for people such and you gentalmen the advances in medican and even in understanding those different cultures wouldn't be were it is at currently. So I say that we owe you guys to work togeather like family. Or at the very least owe it to ourselfs to not complicate things that are already complex as they are.

A young Native American woman who looks like Oota dabun slowly walks into the sickbay. She looks around slowly quite nervously however. It has been a long time since she's been on a ship like this.

When we retired, we all vowed that we'd help make sure that the next generation was better than us. And that's a tall order.
But, Hell, These kids have it good today with these massive ships and all these fancy new gadgets that we didn't have. We were flying by the seats of our pants. It was an exciting time.::McCoy saw the young woman enter Sickbay. He thought it was Oota, but then realized it wasn't.::Hello, young lady! Don't be nervous, we don't bite. What can we do you for?

Conner blinked a few time before speaking to the women's back. What Doctor McCoy was trying to say is that we are both Doctor's. If you need medical assistance we can both help you. One more then the other depending on what you are in need of. He then paused for a moment and scratched his head before continuing on. Like say for instance you came here to get more herbs to treat minor illnesses. I would be able to get them for you in the appropriate amounts so you can put them in your healing pouch until you need to use them. Or lets say you need major surgery or a physical Doctor McCoy would be more suited for the task. He then smiled some hoping she would stop and turn around.

She calms down a bit bit after the doctor puts his hand on her back. Tea sounds good. Her voice is still very nervous sounding. She walks over to a chair slowly. She sits down in a chair shaking a bit since her people lost their guardian.

::McCoy got some tea from the replicator, brought it over to Soolewea.::
This is called Chamomille. It's very soothing. No just relax for a few minutes, then you just tell 'Ol Bones what's going on. That's what they called me back in the old days. I was serving on Starships since 2255.
I'll take care of your wolf. We have a very extensive medical and veterinary database. Now something else is bothering you too. When you're ready, we can talk about it.
::He decided to let her sit and rink the tea for abit so she could gather herself. He went back to lookin go ver the appointment roster, Hit his comm panel::

When Conner heard the request for herbs he bowed respectfully and exscused himself to go into the back where everything was kept. He went about finding the herbs for a medican bag. Herbs that were dried all the way and ready to be used. He found some and then came back out after a few moments and bundled them up before leaving them in the office for the young lady. He then heard McCoy page Millisari for her check up. He figured it would be a while before she would come and walked out of sickbay to attend to a matter he almost forgot about.

Would you like me to call for your sister? Would that make you feel more comfortable? We can do that, or, You can just come into the office and we talk and no one will hear.
You know, Back in my day, the whole sickbay wasn't much bigger than the office I have here.
