He nodded once and then ran a scan or two.
Well, right now you are in perfect health. Your records indicate you have two very real medical conditions that could explain why you landed on the floor. One is a panic disorder the other has to do with how your lungs take in and push air out. Both are inducible by stress, fatigue, or any variety of mental stats one might go through out a day.
He looked at the bio bed scan.
Which looks like both seam to be in control at the moment. I know you have the hypo that Dr. McCoy gave you filled up. If you keep that up along with a few visits to the Consoler I don't see no reason to say we can't manage the condition without duty restrictions, or would you like duty restrictions until you adjust to your new surroundings? I don't know you that well so I can't make the assumption. You know what you can handle and what you can't.
Once he finished talking he was looking at her again. Reading her facial expressions and also her reactions to what he had said to her. To see if there was hidden meaning in her response or not. He also valued being able to look someone in the eye when going about with a treatment plan. Especially for such a sensitive disorder and he now knew why the dismal look on her face, because she didn't like talking about it.

As long as they are heavy loads. She sighs a bit knowing too well the longer she stays on duty the less likely she's going to have an attack because on duty she has other things to focus on. She doesn't look happy talking about her problems since they were her's and her's alone and noone else's problem. She takes a deep breath while shaking her head not sure what to do either. Both doctors were confusing to her.

Alright then it is settled. You are to complete normal duty rotations just like any other member of this crew. Also, to visit the Consoler and set up the appropriate times with her to continue regulating the panic attacks that knock you unconscious.
He looked at her face.
I know, I know. It's your problem to deal with. However, since you are serving in Starfleet we have to play by their rules. No matter how much or how little you or me agree with their purgative. Then again, they have always had the best interest of their personnel in mind when making directives, or so they use to tell me.
Smiles a bit.
So, we are clear what is going on. You are going to act like everything is fine and carry the hypo around with you just encase you start feeling the walls come in. Also to stop by the Consoler's office and set up something with her or at least talk with her once about the attacks. That way we can all make sure that you can be on duty all time that you want to be, but not compromising your sleep. If you don't sleep then these attacks will get worse. If you have questions now would be the time to ask.
He then put his hand out to her to help her sit up on the biobed. He was done running the scans. He had all the information he needed to treat the physical side of this situation.

She sighs a bit not liking the fact she has to carry the hypo on her at all times. The thing she was picked on most in Starfleet academy. The doctor helped her sit up all she did was nod as she got up agreeing with him. Thank you doctor. She slowly got up started to leave to sickbay.

You are welcome Amirah and anytime you need anything do not hesitate to come down here. Myself or Dr. McCoy would be more then willing to take care of you.
He smiled and then watched her leave the sickbay. Not sure if his talk with her did any good or made it worse or what. He just knew that was one person who he was sure to possibly see in here regularly because of a pre-existing medical problem. That somehow didn't make him feel so alone. Even though his was fixed he still felt time to time a pain in his chest. A reminder that the repair was still healing and bonding.

She doesn't look back. I'll keep that in mind. She heads out of the office thinking she's made things a lot worse because people were starting to know about her situation. She loved her work it was great work that she was doing on the bridge. She walks back to her quarters to get some sleep.

He watched her leave for a bit before going back into his office. He started going over reports that were filed while he was absent from sickbay and was also updating files of personnel that he had seen so far in the day in including updating Amirah's file with the additional report of her incident. He was sure it was a panic attack that set it off but just to be sure he would log it to track and see if there is a pattern.
He then hears Amir come in and start verbally looking around for a Doctor. He comes out of his office and puts a hand on Amir's shoulder.
Is there something I can help you with young man? I'm Doctor Conner.
He wasn't sure what Amir wanted all that he knew was that he was calling out his name and was wondering if him or McCoy were around to assist with whatever it was that he wanted to get accomplished.

Oh, Hey, Dr Conner. I'm Amir. Amir Khambatti. ::He extended his hand::
I had some time so I just thought I'd stop in and see about a quick check up. If you review my records, you'll see that I was POW during the Impostor war. I was told to double up on medical checkups in case something has a delayed result.
The Impostors had some nasty virus that infected may crew. For some reason, I wasn't. I'm in good shape but we don't want any surprises.
A lot of good people were lost in that war....::His thoughts trailed off again for a moment to Sharazza.::

He shook his hand when he extended it out to him and then dropped his hand to his side as Amir continued on with what he had to say for the reason why he was down here. Sure enough it made prefect seance to him for Amir to want to be checked up. The Impostor War was something that they all lived through, thankfully, and something in which many lives where lost. He saw his face drop and his eyes get distant for a while has his voice trailed and knew what he was thinking. Thinking about a friend he lost in the war. Conner instinctively put a soft hand on Amir's shoulder.
Well, lets not let them down, and keep you health Amir. You are a vital part of this ship and crew. We all lost people in that War. Friends that we won't be able to talk to anymore. All we can do is live on in their memory and honor them in our work.
Conner then took his hand of Amir and turned putting his hand on his chest and coughed a little. Before turning back to Amir.
Sorry about that. Normally, when I get that way I got a warning. But since you are here for a physical and biobed one is open. How about you go take a seat there and take your uniform jacket off and I'll go get a triquater to start all the fun testing.
He smiled a bit to try and get Amir to see that he was trying to be funny by saying 'fun testing' because he knew how crew members didn't like physicals.

Thanks, Doc. ::Amir hopped onto the bed.:: I'm afraid it's more complicated than that. Yeah, it's who I lost, but it's also because somebody thought they lost me. ::He sighs::Her name was Sharazza Himitsu. She was the CMO on the USS Numeria. My first assignment out of the academy. I was beamed over to a Defiant class ship that had been damaged in the war, along with an Away Team. Next thing I knew, I was off the ship. I wasn;t sure where the hell I was, but I figured it was an impostor ship. The snagged me right off the ship, and sent an imposter replacement for me back over.
When the Impostor go there, they set off a plasma blast in the ship. It looked as though I screwed up. The impostor was beamed back to Numeria where it -- I -- Died.I know what klind of Doctor Sharazza was. She felt responsible for my death. She thought that I died because she wasn't a good enough Dr. ::Begins to tear::I was taken to a base in the Briar Patch, where I was rescued by some kind of Covert Operations group. By the time they got me back to Numeria, Sharazza had....dissapeared. No one knows what happened to her, or her sister Shawna to this day.
I ruined her life, Doc. My gut tells me that she's out there somewhere thinking I died because she wasn't a good Dr.
Doc, thinking about her was the ONLY thing that kept me alive on that impostor base. Thinking that I'd see her again someday.::Sighs and plunks his head back against the biobed.::

He watched Amir’s expressions as he told the story of how his love and him parted ways. It made Conner think about his wife and somehow seamed to understand Amir’s pain in the process. He didn’t show it in his expression but went about doing what he could to check on Amir’s current physical condition. He got a few hypos out and gauged them so to take the proper blood samples when it came time. There were a few for shot purposes too once he got all that around he then spoke to Amir.
If she is alive then you know she is not alone if her sister you have seen. Sometimes when faced with a great tragedy in one’s life a Doctor has to step away to see what can be. We are people and sometimes drought our abilities to heal the sick or injured. Then there are people like me, who practice through the pain.
He then got the first hypo.
These first two are for testing purposes to make sure your blood is clean and that you haven’t gotten sick or that virus hasn’t popped it’s ugly head out of no were.
He then pressed the hypo to Amir’s neck.
We have our mannerisms and also our ways of expressing ourselves. Just as divers as the lands we come from. If she loves you like you love her and is still alive she will find you. Women are very resourceful and resilient. Sometimes very shocking how much they can handle given the right set of circumstances.
After he was done talking he got the other hypo out.
This one is for an inoculation you are due for according to the records to keep a rather nasty bug away from you. Could take you off duty for a few days without this in your system.
He then pressed the hypo to his neck and checked the bio monitors.
Everything is looking alright in there as far as I can tell from the scans we took when you parked yourself here.
He then looked back at Amir.
All we got to do is wait for the tests to come back clean. Which they will since you have been taking care of yourself almost to the point of being obsessive like a medically trained person. I don’t blame you after surviving a few conflicts myself both as civilian and officer. And no matter how many times I tell you it is not your fault someone you cared about disappeared I am pretty sure you will still blame yourself until you accept the truth in your mind. I’m not a consoler by any means but a good listener.

Thanks Doc.
::Amir slowly rose up from the biobed.:: It's not so much that I'm obsessive, It's the fact that I come from a very close Family. Ever since all this POW stuff went on, They've wanted me home. Evern our cousins, Avita and Mahendra Samaroo on Earth wanted me to stay there with them last time I had some shore leave.
Not to mention that many of the ships after the war were short on Dr's and Counselors. I got very little medical attention from Starfleet. Cousin Avita took me to her personal Physician back on Earth.
::He put his jacket back on.::
You know, Part of me wants to go home. Delta Maxia is one of the most beautiful planets in the Alpha quadrant. Anytime you wanna go there, Doc, you let me know. Your Latinum is no good there! ::Laughs:: You'd not only have a wonderful time, but you'd love the medical institure there and all the advances we're working on. The institute was founded by Dr Nomi Kominami, Who served in Starfleet with my great grandfather.
BUt then, Stafleet depends on me. I can't just walk out on them when they need good people. A lot of people quit the fleet after the war, but like the Captain says: "Whos gonna step up to the plate?"

Oota dabun Cheveyo: ::A young Native American woman slowly walks into the sickbay carrying her baby girl in her arms as well who's sleeping::
Dr McCoy EMH: ::Comes out of the office:: Well Hello! ::grins At the child:: Oochie woochie kootchie coo! ::laughs:: I've been a Hologram for a while, now, so I hope you're not here to blame me for this. ::Laughs:: Only kidding. C'mon in, I'm Dr McCoy.
Oota dabun Cheveyo: ::She jumps startled a bit by his presence:: ::The baby wakes up in her arms hungry, but won't from her mother::
Dr McCoy EMH: Looks like somebody's hungry. ::Smiles:: No reason to be scared of me. It's not as if I was a Vulcan.
Oota dabun Cheveyo: ::She sits on the biobed slowly, hands the baby to him she's definately scared of the future::
Dr McCoy EMH: ::takes the baby:: Aww hello swetheart. ::looks at Oota.:: Any problems with her I need to know? She appears Healthy, but let's have a quick look. ::Turns his head:: Delgado, I need the basinette, please! ::The portly crew woman brought over the basinet, placing on the small biobed.::
Oota dabun Cheveyo: ::The baby quit eating for almost 24hrs because her mom is upset senses it, baby continues to cry in McCoy's arms:: ::Oota speaks up sadly:: She won't eat.
Dr McCoy EMH: Hmm.....And how about you? How are you feeling? Are you eating properly? I need to look over your diet since you've been aboard ship.
Oota dabun Cheveyo: No I haven't been not since that being arrived. ::She pulls her knees to her chest while sitting on the biobed::
Dr McCoy EMH: Ok, so you're not eating right, and now you can't nurse the baby. See a connection? I can tell you right now that her insulin levels are high, which is causing glucose levels to be dangerously low. We can fix that. These things change the stucture of your milk, and sometimes even the flavor to the point of it being unfamiliar to them. I'm going to give her something to stabilize that, and also something to deal with stomach reflux she's been having. Next, I'm going to scan your DNA and use the genetronic replicator to make you a proper formula. This is replicated to exactly match your DNA and we should have her eating soon. I don;t want to use tubes if at all possible.
Oota dabun Cheveyo: ::Oota starts crying hard obviously missing home is scared of the alien on board she doesn't want to see him::
Dr McCoy EMH: ::Puts the baby down securely in the bassinette.:: Now what's the matter, Young lady? And who is this "Being" you mentioned? Are you telling me there's an intruder or stowaway on the ship?
Oota dabun Cheveyo: ::She shakes her head no:: You know who I speak of. The astronaunt.
Dr McCoy EMH: You're scared of him? Why? He's guest. This is a first contact. a historical occasion. Seems like a nice enough guy. Better he met us first instead of the Vulcans.
Oota dabun Cheveyo: I knew you wouldn't understand. ::She still cries::
Dr McCoy EMH: Oh no? Try me. I've been a Doctor for 150 years! I think I know a thing or two. What is it about this man that frightens you? I could see if we were making first contact with the Vulcans. Tell me what you're afraid of, Lt.....? I need your name to get your records
Oota dabun Cheveyo: I'm Oota dabun Cheveyo.
Dr McCoy EMH: Got it. ::Pulls up her info on the PADD:: Ok, Oota, now why don;t you sit up here in achair, and let's talk
Oota dabun Cheveyo: ::She lets her knees go:: ::Slides off the biobed slowly:: ::She walks over the chair slowly while keeping her teared filled eyes on him:: ::She sits down in the chair slowly fixing her feathers in her hair::
Dr McCoy EMH: Did this person do, or say anything to you. Did he threaten you in any way? Maybe the chief of security needs to hear what you have to say as well.
Oota dabun Cheveyo: Nothing like that doctor. History has a way of repeating itself.
Dr McCoy EMH: ANd what History is that?
Oota dabun Cheveyo: You know doctor one day I lead my tribe as the cheif. What do you think I am worried about?
Dr McCoy EMH: ::Shrugs:: Buffalo migrations? would you just come out and tell me. I'm a Doctor, not a Cowboy. Although my Family lived in the old west. Had a long time feud with a family named the Hatfields Now that I'm a hologram, you probably can't call me "The Real McCoy"
Oota dabun Cheveyo: ::She sighs a bit stops crying a little::
Dr McCoy EMH: Now tell me what this is about. What are you afraid of?
Oota dabun Cheveyo: Do you remember anything on the voyage to America? I'm scared that I will be taken from my home.
Dr McCoy EMH: Well, if you're talking about the Mayflower, I'm old, but I wasn't there. And what do you mean "taken from your home" How so? Or are you talking about the original Colonists, wholater, after America was formed, drove the native americans out of their homes?
Oota dabun Cheveyo: That's exactly it.
Dr McCoy EMH: And you think we're going to be invaded?
Oota dabun Cheveyo: That's my fear.
Dr McCoy EMH: By who?
Oota dabun Cheveyo: The new guy.
Dr McCoy EMH: Our guest? You think the Taranagans are going to invade us? First of all, they don;t have the technology even if they had the inclination. They've been in danger of invasion themselves.
Oota dabun Cheveyo: Remember doctor the settlers we thought were nice to us at first and they weren't. I really don't like this situation at all.
Dr McCoy EMH: Oota, the Taranagans haven;t had a civil war on over 30 years. They have unified government. Everything indicates that they are a benevolent people. I've been on more first contacts than anyone alive in Starfleet today. Except for Scotty. A lot of them were not what you'd call a picnic. I was there when we made first contact with the Gorn Hegemeny, The Tholian assembly, I was one of the first people to actually see a Romulan. You think any of those were a party?
Oota dabun Cheveyo: I don't want to be forced into anything. Please tell the Captain I can't make it to the dinner.
Dr McCoy EMH: Now, we've already established that your personal nutrition has been suffering, and you're nursing a child. Now you better start taking care of yourself. did it ever occur to you that improper nutrition has an emotional effect on people?
Oota dabun Cheveyo: No.
Dr McCoy EMH: And I'm a Doctor, not the Captain;s Yeoman. You don't want to attend? YOU tell him. But I'm telling you right now, doing that is not going put you on his christmas card list. Lt, You're an officer on this ship. An officer does what they have to do wether they want to, or not. Don't put yourself in that position with the Captain. I gurantee you it will go over like flatulence in warp core.
Oota dabun Cheveyo: ::She looks at him weirdly not understanding that:: Ok. ::She slowly gets up from the chair:: ::She walks over to where Lenmana is in the bassonet:: I'll see you later.
Dr McCoy EMH: If I were you, and you feel that strongly about this, talk to Commander Rivers. ask her for advice and let her decide how to approach the Captain. There's formula in the bassinette. use that, and START EATING RIGT! I'm the only one on thei ship who wants to eat, and I can't!
Oota dabun Cheveyo: ::She takes her child in her arms, looks at the baby bottle with the formula:: Have you thought about modifying your routines?
Dr McCoy EMH: In what way?
Oota dabun Cheveyo: So you can enjoy food.
Dr McCoy EMH: Nobody but Khambatti is allowed to touch my matrix. You'll have to ask him. but why bother if it's not real?
Oota dabun Cheveyo: I heard they were talking about putting real food on the ship. You might want to consider it.
Dr McCoy EMH: It's on the ship now. Food is for the crew. It would be wasted on me. I just miss it sometimes. ever smell a Georgia morning when the peaches are just ready for picking? Ever have a hot dog with mustard and Vidalia onions?
Oota dabun Cheveyo: No. Just venison and fish.
Dr McCoy EMH: Well you don;t know what you're missing. Try it. I can always taste it vicariously through you. ::Laughs::
Oota dabun Cheveyo: Yeah. I supose so doctor. I will see you soon. Thanks again. ::She slowly walks out of the sickbay, going back to her quarters to find a hiding spot for Lenmana::

Especially after how gracious they were with dealing with my temperament before I met my wife. He then looked at the scans a little and kind of smiled to himself. As for you going home I see no issue with it when shore leave is permitted. Your scans are clean as far as I can tell. I am no ship's consoler only a Doctor. The amount of loss that the Federation has suffered so far...it is amazing that it only grows people closer instead of farther apart. However, I will let you get back to your duties I am sure you have many on this ship since you still do wear the uniform.

It's very well equipped and we have a brand new, updated genetronic replicator, In case you haven't seen it yet. Dr McCoy gave me a once over not long before you came aboard. He's very familiar with Ardanan Physiology. I don't have to tell you his book on interspecies medicine is required reading at the academy. EnsJemmaMorganth: I like it very well and this is a fine ship I'm glad you stopped by Captain the Surgery with Michael went very smoothly and here are the results ::Handing the PADD to you:: Yes Captain he is very familiar. Brock Dantara: ::Looks over the PADD, nodding:: I'm an engineer, not a Dr. But it appears as though he's back to normal and in fine health. I'm going to let him revoer and relax, plus I'm sure he wants to spend time with his wife. I thought he was some kind of Professor. Taking a job like that in Kzin territory....d**n risky. Whoever sent him in there you'd think would be nice enough to let me know since we were coming out here. By the way, I've decided that you and I will be doing this first contact. We're going to take one of the Sacagawea class runabouts and go out to meet the ship. EnsJemmaMorganth: Captain if I can speak freely....It's curious to me why he was out in the Kzin territory. I/m not saying nothing is wrong but when I had that link I could hardly sense him. ::As she waits for his response looking at the Medtech:: Sir are you sure Brock Dantara: About what, Dr? EnsJemmaMorganth: I don't know if Starfleet wanted him in there what about the treaty that we tried to hold before we knew about them at the station? Brock Dantara: So you are suggesting there is a problem with this? It didn't quite seem right to me, either. Are you saying he's not what he appears to be? EnsJemmaMorganth: I mean he does have every medicly normal with him and when he came I didn't sense anything but I it's situation is on my mind is all I mean why did I hardly sense him out of the others. Brock Dantara: Well, First, tell me what would cause that. what would someone have to do to block or disguise their thoughts from you? Or could it be that his race has a natural immunity to telepathy? EnsJemmaMorganth: well there several things ummm Vulcans can surpress there emotions through logic but I don't know reading someone's thoughts and mind is one thing sensing there feelings is anouther I just don't know. Brock Dantara: And in this case you could do neither? Hmm. The Kzin do have telepaths that they use. Is it possible he had some kind of conditioning so they couldn't read him and find him out? I'm going to have security keep an eye on him. I'll post a guard by their quarters, and have one of the ASECs watch from the security office. I'll have Commander Rivers contact
EnsJemmaMorganth: posible but doesn't explain why he was in the middle of a Kzin fleet. Brock Dantara: He's supposed to be an agent. Maybe he's Section 31. I'll tell you this much, if he is Section 31 I want him off my ship. For now, we'll keep him under surveillance. Right now, let's focus on this meeting with the Astronaut. We'll need to look at some scripts that Starfleet prepared. You have to choose your words carefully. EnsJemmaMorganth: Captain who will we make First Contact with and second why did you choose me for this important mission? Brock Dantara: Well, Beta T's version of the Phoenix is leaving orbit. A warp-prototype ship like that will probably do abound warp .5 to warp 1. We'll go out and meet them in a runabout since they've never seen a starship the size of Polaris. We want to make friends with these people, not scare the Tribbles out of them. As a Physician, you are sensitive to others, and I'm sure you'll want to check out their basic physiology. As a Betazoid, You can keep me aware, hopefully of how they view us. If they are frightened, intimidated, whatever. EnsJemmaMorganth: What do we know about this culture there looks, etc Brock Dantara: If these pilots are anything like the Ancient Earth Astronauts I've read about at the academy, any one of them would jump at a chance to meet an "alien". Whoever built that ship has a dream and a vision. We may represent the culmination of that dream for them. They are basically Humanoid. ::Goes over to a computer console and pulls up the Data:: They have a forehead ridge that's reminiscent of a Bajoran. EnsJemmaMorganth: ::she looks at the data then looks back at the Captain:: It's says thay've reached warp a lot sooner than we expected Brock Dantara: ::Nods:: We knew that they were close. We didn't think they were ready to launch quite yet, But that could be because of us. They can't see our ships with the equipment they have now, but they would have seen that explosion we made when we opened the singularity in the middle of that Armada. To them it may be some stellar phenomenon. It could be that they are launching now to get a closer look at what that was. We're going to have to find a way to explain that to them without alarming them. This is their neck of the woods as the Terrans say and they have just stepped into a bigger universe .

Regal was in sickbay wandering around like he did most days this time with his special friend Chaze. Chaze knew where he was at just by smelling and knew to act properly in a medical setting. Regal was grateful for the opportunity to at least show Chaze the place since after all Chaze had been his right hand man now for four year, or was it right paw. He laughed to himself about that idea.
Chaze old pal this is medical for these people. You can tell by all the staff coming out to see us that they are dedicated professionals and very observant. Unfortunately don't got authorization to do more then just show you the place right here standing. Protocols and the like you know how that goes.
Chaze just looked up at him and waged his tail happy to know where Regal disappeared to when he wasn't feeding or playing or training him. He wanted to get to work and sniff around the place but since Regal said no he decided to stay in hopes of a doggy treat. Regal just smiled at him rubbed his head.
I know boy better get going before you start searching around here enacting your training but I thought I would show you the place so you know I'm perfectly safe when not with you.
This time he was excited and barked a reply out to Regal and waged his tail before they both went out the door again. Regal was ready to find Christina and start the training back up again. So was Chaze but for different reasons.

He walked back into sickbay with his uniform on. It hadn't been taken out in a few years and was still stiff as ever. He noticed that McCoy was working on something and walked over to him ignoring the rest of the medical staff's stairs.
Well Doctor what be the order of busness today since you be up earlyer then the chickens.
Conner brightly smiled at the man as he stood by him seeing if he would respond about being approched this way. This was the morning game they played of trying to figure out each other. Conner was getting use to it now but he wasn't sure about McCoy.

::McCoy Looked up from the computer screen to see Conner.::
Well, Dr, you cartainly seem to be chipper today! ::He smiled::
Actually, I'm due to wake the chickens in about fifteen minutes. ::Laughs::
Not a whole heck of a lot going onhere this morning, although Lt Mellisari is due for a pheromone shot. We certainly don't need a flock of lovesick crewmen chasing her around. I doubt she'd mind it, though.
And we need to do a checkup on Oota Cheveyo's baby again. I want to watch her blood sugar levels.
You know, I'm beginning to think that I'm the only one on board who takes care of himself, and I don't even have to!
But I suppose I should be thankful there are no Vulcans on board.
