Don't run off with Spartacus, Sool! ::Amir laughed::Come on, let's go find Oota Bhudda and get this all straightened out.::He laughed, Petting the dog:: You know, I've been thinking about getting him a hat. What do you think? She giggles at the comment. I think he'd look cute, but what would be the purpose of dressing him up? He's already cute.

Right here, Lt. ::McCoy came out.::
Just getting the decon chamber ready. I'll need you to go in there for a few minutes for sterilization. Get into an O.R. outfit, and then get on the biobed in room one.
I need to take some small tissue samples so that what we replicate is completely set for your DNA. There should be no rejection whatsoever.
I actually invented the procedure decades ago, but before genetronics, There was still a slight rejection factor. Now, this procedure is commonplace.
I'm sorry you didn't have this looked into sooner. During the Dominion and impostor wars, a lot of meatball surgery was done in the field to get the less wounded up and running again.

Doctor Conner walked back into sickbay after a while of being gone and saw McCoy hard at work and a Lt. in there as well. He didn't know what was going on but was sure that it had to have been cleared by the command staff on the ship in order to be done. He noded to McCoy before going into the office that they shared to acess medical records and the like. To see what he missed out on since is absence.

No, It'll take just fine. And it won't be long. We're going Replicate the ligaments, cartillage, and muscle. Then, We'll attatch it directly with the microtransporter.
Everything will be fused where it belongs, but you still need to give it a day or two for them to attatch naturally.
You'll be fine with the brace for a day or two. You need to minimize movement and not stretch them too fast.
Ok, ::He patted the biobed.:: Let's get crackin'!

Once it heals, you can do anything you did before. You just won't be in pain, or limping.::He began to sterilize and desensitize the area. One of the asisstants brought over the micro transporter array, as McCoy took some tissue samples from the areas to be rebuilt.::

Post by Doctor (Lt.) Regal Conner on Apr 30, 2008 19:55:47 GMT -5
She came to see Regal in the sickbay after a few days of her feeling like she was off and even the meditation techniques not working for her to clear her mind. She couldn’t explain the irrationality of what she was feeling and what she was thinking, but then again her humanity seamed to reassert itself in the most inconveance times. She walked into sickbay and looked for Regal right away since he had been her primary physician for a very long time.
Regal was in the office he had been working on some other minor projects while Dr. McCoy had been running the main part of sickbay. He was more or less trying to piddle around and not get into the way that is when he saw Christina walk in and she looked like she had something on her mind. He walked up to her and smiled at her. “What can I do for you Commander?”
She smiled back at him, “Not much Doctor Conner. I need you to check on my physical condition is all as I am experiencing some…inequalities in my pattern of life.”
He nodded, “Of course if you could sit down on bio bed one that would be a start for the evaluation. What symptoms in particular do you want me to look out for?”
She sighed, “I have been feeling ill in the mornings. The techniques to meditate and center my mind have been inadequate in dealing with this. That is why I came to you to see if it was something wrong or just a life change.”
He ran the scanner over her, “Well so far there is just a slight hormonal imbalance detected. That could be stress or just about anything. If you could lay down Commander I could check further to see if there is more here than meets the eye.”
She lay down fearful of what he was going to find. “I hope it is just stress as I have been only interacting with you recently…” She took a calming breath and lay still waiting for him to get the scans done.
He scanned her from head to toe and intercity went through each layer of the systems of the body. Checking each one for anomalies. He found only one and it was in the pelvic region he had to look at it a few moments before recognizing the structure development and the general composition. He kind of had to take five to catch his breath before telling her what he found. “Christina, I got some news for you that you may or may not be open to, and I think it explains the dream I had last night when I was with you, but first let’s get you sitting back up again.” He helped her to sit on the bio bed.
This she was concerned about his manner changed to that of a caring husband rather than a Doctor. He seemed to be stalling for time to say what he saw in there. She knew that there was something wrong in the pelvic region for that is where he spent most of his time looking. She sat up slowly with his help and then waited for him to continue on not wanting to disturb his thought process.
He saw the look on her face and then he very carefully chose his words, “Christina, I think…I think you are pregnant, and the child is mine…I’m so sorry…the dream…I thought it just that…I had no idea I acted it out…”
Christina raised an eyebrow at him and for a moment shared his shocked expression, but then she finally spoke. “In some way I am grateful that I am just pregnant. I could not think of a better father for the child then you. Now that I know I will not attempt the meditations anymore. I don’t want to harm the little one. He or she is fully human and will be raised that way. As for your dream, I thought it was just that, but now that I know you acted it out on impulse and I indulged you on it. I think it best we share a bed until the child is born, and then after that if we sleep together then I should be on a contraceptive so not to have this happen again.”
He nodded he was somewhat ashamed of this. “I understand and am so sorry…I didn’t want this to happen. I have feelings for you in that way but I didn’t want to act on them. Even in my sleep.”
“You aren’t entirely to blame in my subconscious I must have desired you as well. Sex has to be consensual in order for it to be successful in producing a child. This was the case with us, and now we must together raise a child.”
“You’re right. I want you back in here for regular checkups but for now…” He got a hypo and injected it into her neck. “That will help with the symptoms so you can work. We will play this as it goes and see how it turns out.”
“That is all we can do Regal. Just know I still consider you a close friend and would not allow another close to me like I have allowed you.” She got up off the bio bed and then nodded to him. “I will see you tonight when it is time to sleep.”
“ Yes, yes you will and I will control myself better now that I know what I am capable of.”
“Logical.” She then left sickbay to gather her thoughts and begin the planning for new life. He shook his head and had to clear it so he could go back into the office and enter into her file the new information he just found out about her.
He couldn’t believe it…he was going to be a father.

::McCoy entered the sickbay office and activated the main communicator. It clicked on with the usual Starfleet logo.
He had been concerned ever since The Captain got the message from SB 173 regarding his wife. He knew How Brock must have been feeling and wanted to do everything he could to asses the situation. Not only that, he was curious himself to look over the treatment she was getting and get some charts on her condition.::
Put me through to Starbase 173. Medical dept. encrypted channel.
::The computer screen went to work, and a moment later, much to McCoy's chagrin was the the face of a Vulcan female medical officer.::
"This is Dr. Selar. How may I help you?"
::She looked pleasant enough as she stared at him from the screen::
Yes, Dr. Selar. This is Dr. McCoy of the Polaris. We're on route there and I wanted to get some additional information Regarding Shian Taris Dantara. I was wondering if you could transfer her record to Polaris so we can look them over, since she'll be coming on board.
"I will have to get clearance first." She raised a brow at mcCoy.
"Please have your real Dr. contact us for requests like that."
You're talking to a real Doctor. ::McCoy found himself beginning to get annoyed::
"I'm sure that you believe that you are actually Dr McCoy, but you are an emergency medical device. I can only release or discuss this information with an actual Doctor."
Now Wait just one cotton picking minute! I am a primary Doctor on this ship and this case is my responsibilty! I may be a hologram, and that makes me part of a computer, and you're a Vulcan. Doesn't that make us practically family?
"Holograms are for emergencies only. To have one as a Ship's primary Doctor is illogical. Please have the appropriate personel contact us."
Now hold on! ::This woman was getting under his skin almost worse than another Vulcan he once knew.::
Now you listen to me, you green blooded, pointed earred -----
::The screen went blank::
::McCoy stormed out of the office none too happy::
Every God d**n one of them, they're all alike. d**n green blooded hobgoblins!
::The medical personnel were looking at him curiously::
Elves with hyperactive thyroids! I'll give her logic!
::He headed to the door to go speak to the Captain::
I'd like to take a long tube full of logic and shove it right up her....
::The doors slid closed behind him::

Captian Lu Chang: He came into sickbay with Regal in his arms having carried him from his quarters where he passed out at. Lu's normally calm vocie now had an edge of panic in it as he called for assistance. "Doctor, are you here? "
Regal Conner: He was passed out cold into Lu's arms not sure if he was dreaming or if this was all real. His heart did get over whelmed a bit at the sight of Lu in his quarters but he was now trying to fight his way back to consiousness.
Dr McCoy EMH: ::Comes out of the office.:: What happened? ::Grabs a tricorder::
Captain Lu Chang: "I made the mestake of not sending a subspace message to the old man. Seams his ticker got a little over excited at the sight of me at his door. He passed out, I rushed him here because I know his heart hasn't been well. I just hope I didn't send him into an epasode."
Dr McCoy EMH: His heart is fine, I know I installed a new one for him. ::Looksa t Conner:: Regal, can you hear me? can you speak? sit down on the biobed, here and take a load off.
Captain Lu Chang: He sat Regal down on the bio bed and stepted back to process what the Doctor told him about his friend.
Regal Conner: Regal moaned at his name being called out but that is all he managed to do his mind. Everything was spinning way too fast for him to do much more.
Dr McCoy EMH: Just hang on, now, You're a bit out of breath. ::Gives him a hypo of triox compound:: There. Now sit still a minute and catch your breath.
Captain Lu Chang: "Doctor, is he going to be alright?" Lu was still concerned having never seen Regal look the way he did.
Regal Conner: Regal just laid on the biobed catching his breath for a while before saying somewhat still disoriented. "Nurse Kelly...have Doctor Jefferson take my load for a moment..."
Dr McCoy EMH: ::Continues to scan:: Well, there's nothing wrong with him, he's just very exasperated, like something surprised him. Would that be you?
Captain Lu Chang: He smirked, "I'm afraid so Doctor. Supprised him streight back to the days he worked colonal side doing family care it appears."
Dr McCoy EMH: ::Nods:: That's what I thought. Seen it happen many times. Almost happened to a Vulcan once.
Captain Lu Chang: "I had no clue that he finally got bad enough someone caught onto his methods of masking his condition or I would have treated him in his quart rather then take him down here." He somewhat laughted, "He has always been truble since day one I met him."
Regal Conner: Regal was just blinking a few times when he heard Lu. "What the hell is going on?"
Dr McCoy EMH: Yeah he's a stubborn old goat, alright. ::Smiles:: Maybe he'll listen to you and behave himself a little.
Captain Lu Chang: "The only one he listens to or pays any mind to is Christina. She's just as stubern as he is. One of us better answer his question before he gets up off that biobed and goes passing out somewere else."
Regal Conner: Regal was sitting up on the bed still shaking his head trying to get his bearings.
Dr McCoy EMH: Well, I don;t know who Dr Jeffersonis, so you better tell him.
Captain Lu Chang: He noded, "I understand." He then addressed Regal, "Conner, ya old goat, you are on the USS Polaris in sickbay. Snap out of the past and get your head back on streight. Lay down you just passed out in my arms."
Regal Conner: Regal responded, "Ok, I'll be have this time. But only because I am halusinating right now because I sware I'm hearing Lu Chang and he's on assignment right now."
Dr McCoy EMH: Well if you're hallucinating, than so am I. And holograms don't hallucinate.
Captain Lu Chang: Laughs and shakes his head, "Same old man Starfleet made me lave all those years ago."
Regal Conner: Regal just sat there taking in Lu for a moment before speaking. "I may have a new heart. They didn't replace my personality." He put his hand on his chest and coughted.
Dr McCoy EMH: How long you two known each other?
Regal Conner: Regal responded right away, "Long enough to know he poopted himself frequently, but short enough to know he's a good man."
Captain Lu Chang: "In other words. He has known me since my post tramadic stress sysndrom days. Just about 10 years now. Been seperated a few of those. Not by choice."
Regal Conner: Regal put his hand on his chest and coughted again, "Still got the touch youngster. Glad to see they didn't take your interpreatory skills."
Dr McCoy EMH: Well, It's good to see old friend be reunited. I have to say, I often wish the same of some of my old friends. Even the one who was stubborn as a jackass back in the day, ::Laughs::
Captain Lu Chang: "Its good to be back amongst the living. Even if the living is Regal coughing up his lung or just threatening to with his stuberness."
Regal Conner: Regal gave Lu a look, "The coughing is not my fault. This time it's your's. I've been quite for sometime now." He then put his hand to his chest and coughted.
Dr McCoy EMH: Am I gonna have to replace your lungs too?
Captain Lu Chang: "He has an irritating habbit of masking his illnesses. The coughing is a symptom of what was it Regal..."
Regal Conner: Regal just blerted out, "My stupidity." He then went into a spell of coughing that he couldn't stop.
Captain Lu Chang: "Some respatory illness he was diagnosed with when he was younger. I can't remember the name right now. But, it's cronic and treatable with breathing treatments."
Dr McCoy EMH: Plenty of new treatments for that. not to worry. Conner are you ok? your bio readings are fine. Why don't you two go have a drink in ten forward. Seems to me you got a lot of catching up to do. Regal Conner: Regal was coughing and making hand gesturs for his breathing treatment device at McCoy when he asked if he was doing alright.
Captain Lu Chang: "I think he missed a treatment. I don't know where his thing is at or I would get it for him."
Dr McCoy EMH: ::Takes one out of a compatment. puts a mask over his nose and mouth.:: Now just give that a minute, and you'll be fine.
Regal Conner: Regal gives a rather annoyed look at the two as his treatment is on its way the mask over his face.
Captain Lu Chang: "Well, at least he doesn't talk while treatment is in progress. I remember Jeff yelling at him about it reguarly."
Dr McCoy EMH: Hmm. To bad Vulcans don't get many respiratory issues.
Captain Lu Chang: "Why do you say that Doctor?" He looked at Regal and made a face at him for the annoyed look
Regal Conner: Regal just growled with the mask on his face.
Dr McCoy EMH: Oh....Long story. I worked with one for a lot of years. If there was anything else I could have done to shut him up, I'd have used it. ::Takes the mak off Conner:: Ok. Breathing sounds fine. Now you two go enjoy your visit.
Captian Lu Chang: Laughs, "Sounds like you had the same problme I do."
Regal Conner: Regal gets the mask off, " I take directions well, thank you very much. My old age has mellowed me."
Dr McCoy EMH: I know how that can be. I've been through old age. Now will you two go enjoy your visit? you're fine, and I have to get ready to go up and see Mrs Dantara. Go have some fun. :eads into his office to prepare for Dr McCoy EMH: the counseling session::
Captain Lu Chang: Gets Regal off the biobed. "Old man lets get you home so we can talk."
Regal Conner: Regal glared at him, "I remember where I live at on this vessle youngster and wouldn't want to keep Doctor McCoy from his duty with old women's talk." With that they both left sickbay

He was careful not to walk too fast for her but to do it in enough time that she wouldn't get sick on the carpet. He laied her down on the bio bed and activated the scanner while getting a hypo for nausa to treat that right off the bat. He waited a few mintues before asking her a question.

He looked throught the scan as he was taking a full body one to make sure that he wasn't missing anything and sure enough when he got to the ambdomin there was something there that shouldn't be. That is where he took the deeper scan at listening to Mrs. Kushani's complaints about being sick in the morning. The image that he saw confirmed her inferace and he put a hand on her shouder and said.
"I'm glad you came down here to get checked out. You said it happened four months ago the tisk with your ex. Sometimes it takes women longer to get symptoms of pregancy then others. Not to say that there is no risk in being pregent. You are four months pregent. That much is clear. As far as the child's health and other things I can't say without running furter blood screanings and scans. But I can tell you that you are in good hands. I have successfuly guided many couples through child birth and signal parents.
If you like I could run those tests on the baby now and figure out where we are standing medically so to be able to begin regularting your diet and exserize accordingly. The fact that you are showing a bit now and are sick in the morning is normal. Many woman have those sysmtoms. I will causion you against eating anything heavly spiced for a while as well as it may upset the baby and make you ill. Do you understand what I have said so far and what we need to do to make sure you and the baby are safe?"
He waited for her response while silently going through his head the many proticals and procedures that he would have to use or possibly use in taking care of and watching out for Ms. Kushani over the next few months.
