She slowly walks back into the lounge carrying her daughter in her arms. She is a bit scared to even bring her in the lounge. She expects the Captain to probably scream at her for doing so. She walks slowly back over to where she was sitting. She sits down at the table. The baby starts crying since she is scared of the new place and sounds. Sorry we took so long. That's alright Oota. Little one's can be a handful when taking them out for the first time. I am sure she will like the new area of the ship that she is getting to see once she gets use to all the new people and noises. Christina couldn't help but smile at the little one. She didn't want to try to touch her since she seamed to still be adjusting to the nose. Just smiled at her to let her know that at least there was one safe person other then her mother in the room. I am sure the Captain will be alright with you having her with you. I don't mind it.

The baby continues to cry. Oota looks at the Captain then back at Christina not sure who to answer first. She seems confused. The baby continues to cry this time even louder. She shakes her head hoping this doesn't happen with the astronaunt thinking how embarassing it would be. She looks at the Commander and Amir. Would one of you mind holding her? I have an idea that works.

Sure I can hold her for you.
She then picked the little one up and cradled her in her arms for a bit rocking her back and forth to see if that would quite her crying.
Hopefully I can help her calm down and not make it worse, because a little one this cute shouldn't be so stressed for so long.
Christina had a smile on her face as she looked back down at the little one she was holding in hopes that she would calm down.

She smiles as Christina holds Lenmana. She pulls out her flute. She starts playing a Native American tune that is very soothing and calm. It was one of her own pieces that she made for her child.
The baby quiets down in Christina's arms being rocked back and forth while her Mom plays the flute. The baby stops crying after a few minutes.
She continues to play the flute for a bit longer. After a few minutes of calming Native American music. She puts her flute down on the table. Thank you Christina.

She listened to the music and found it very calming and saw how Lenmana reacted to her mother playing. Christina then looked back at Oota when she was done and smiled softly.
It's not a bother at all to hold her. Especially when she has such a good mother. I can tell that you love her very much and try to do right by her.

Thank you. I teach her the same ways as our people as best as I can. That is much harder on a starship because everything here is technology. Technological advances our people avoid. At least she'll gain the same thing I do out here and take it back to our people so we can both lead the tribe when it becomes our time.
The baby makes happy sounds while in Christina's arms. The baby's eyes start getting a bit heavy. The baby tries to keep the eyes open since so much is going on around her.

Perhaps you two together will lead your people into a new era of thought.
She looked down at the little one who was making noises in her arms and smiled a bit. She noticed that she was fighting sleep too.
Seams like she has curiosity about what is going on so much so she's fighting going to sleep. I don't blame her this place tends to grab a hold of you especially with all the people around.

::Brock came up to the table, seeing his crew involved in conversation. He was leaving the kitchen area of Ten forward with a round decorated in food.::Hello, everyone! I'm glad to see all of you socializing. I thought I'd let you all test out the first fresh Sushi made on Polaris by yours truly. We grew the rice and the Seaweed Right in our hydroponic gardens, The fish are from our own fish hatchery, as are the shrimp.::He put the plate down in the middle of the table.::Grab a pair of chopsticks and tell me how you like it. I ran a Sushi Bar back on Startos that my Sensei owned along with the Dojo. Now, for those of you who don't like raw food, I have a shrimp tempura roll. The others are salmon and tuna.
If you don't eat meat, I have some seaweed salad, rice, and a teryaki vegetable stir-fry with tofu. Should be something for everyone. I miss cooking, so I thought I'd have some fun. I find it very theraputic and tranquilizing.::He could see that his Counselor was troubled about something. he really didn't get the gist of the conversation, though. He sat at the table himself and began to make himself a plate.::My Wife used to love Sushi. I made it for her all the time. Sometimes I think that's why she married me. ::He remembered that she wouldn't eat it the last time he made it for her. That was when He began to suspect that she was an Impstor, And probably why she dissapeared shortly thereafter.:: Wow! I love Sushi! That looks great. ::Amir began to take his own plate and fill it, garnishing it with a blob of wasabi and some ginger root.::Captain, If I knew you could make Sushi like this, I'd have married you! ::Giggles:: ::He glares at Amir for a second::Thanks, Khambatti, but you;re going to have to get in line like everyone else. ::Smiles::

She takes a pair of chopsticks not sure how to eat with them. She stares at them wondering how to hold them. She puts one in one hand the other with the other one. I'll try sushi.

Yeah there is a lot going on. She looks at how Oota is holding the chopsticks. She laughs a bit. Oota your holding them wrong. She takes a set of chopsticks.

The baby looks at the Captain. She looks around at the others. She smells the good food. She starts crying wanting some too.
She looks at Lenmana who's crying. No honey not now you'll eat later. She hopes the kid doesn't do this when the astronaut shows up for dinner. She looks at Christina sighing a bit. She looks at Amirah. What do you mean I'm holding them wrong?

She looked at Oota and smiled. It's alright I think I can take the noise with the holding. She's really a very well adjusted little one and it won't be long and she'll know you will feed her later. She then looked back down at the baby she was holding and put her on her shoulder and got up from the table and started walking around to see if that would help calm the little one down since rocking was getting tiresome for Christina to do.

::Brock sat, listening for a moment, as he put his wasabi into a small bowl, then pured soy sauce in, mixing it up. He took a little ginger root to start, as it cleans the palette.::
Oota, You know that we have a nursery, don't you? The ship has one of the best pre and post natal care centers of any starship.
I know that Mothers can be hesitant with these things at first, but I think you'll find the staff very good at what they do. You need to make arrangements for her while you're on duty. The only way you;re going to get comfortable with it, is to give it a chance.

She looks at the Captain not wanting her daughter is some day care thing. She looks Amirah a minute, then to Amir. She looks over at her daughter who Christina has in her arms. She bites her lower lip wanting to say no.

::Amir was digging into the Sushi himself as he heard the Captain. he could see she didn't like the idea.::
Oota, it's just a nursery. By the look on your face you'd think we were asking you to leane her with a Gorn baby sitter. These people are professionally trained childcare experts, and did you realize that the nursery, like Sickbay, is one of the most heavily shielded areas of the ship? If, God forbid, there was an emergency, that's the safest place for her to be.

Yes Oota he's right. You can't leave her in your quarters unsupervised. You can't take her even on the missions like you used to do. She looks over at Christina. Though she looks like she's having fun.

The baby quiets down as Christina walks around with her. She closes her eyes wanting sleep.
Oota looks a bit upset having to leave her in a nursery. I don't like having to heave her there. I don't have a choice I guess. She looks at Amir worriedly especially cause the astronaunt is still there. She looks at her baby thinking this could be the last time she sees her.

Christina walked back over to the table.
Oota I think she's just about ready to give into sleep. I know a nursery isn't something you like the idea of putting her in, but I can tell you as someone who did her first tour of duty babysitting the future of the Federation it's not a bad place. She can play with other children or roll around or whatever she wants to do and have a pair of watchful, caring eyes watching her while you are on duty.
She paused a little.
I know I don't got children of my own but I've taken care of other people's kids before and know it takes a special kind of person to work in a daycare setting. The way the Captain is he probably interviewed the nanny that is in there himself. So you know she will be in safe hands.
She then looked at the little one and then back at Oota.
As much as I would like to hold her on the bridge I don't think if anything should happen to the ship it would be safe for her to be up there. Think about it as another member of the family that is the crew of this ship is taking care of her for a little while. Just long enough so you can work and then as soon as you are off duty you can pick her up and take her with you wherever you want to go on the ship.
Christina was rocking back and forth on her feet to try and emulate walking so the little one would continue to fall asleep and not wake up.

Oota, ::Brock began:: Amir and Amirah are right. As Captain of this ship, The children aboard her are my charge and responsibilty. That means I'm every bit as responsible for the welfare of your child as you are, as long as you're on the ship.
Leaving the Child unsupervised is not, in my opinion the best for her. You can't leave her alone. Oota, that whole area of the ship is durrounded by a security field at the first hint of trouble. There are also regular security patrols on that deck on a constant basis.
I put those conditions in place because I believe the safety of the children on this ship are of Paramount importance.
Now, if you;re that concerned, why don't you just go thee and talk to the staff yourself. It's not only the most heavily shielded area of the ship as Amir pointed out, But in a emergency, The children are the first ones off the ship.
::He took his first officer aside.:: Christina, ::He spoke softly::. Would you please try to find out what's behind this fear of hers? Maybe Regal can help too. She seems to like McCoy also. Maybe you can get Jemma to talk to her.

Walking into Ten Forward after placing his things in his room.. He would see there where a few people here. He would make his way over to get a drink.
Getting a water and a salad he would go find a place to sit down and would eat his food. He would look over a pad that he had been keeping with him for a long time.. Looking over it at a fighter from the old time's.
