Conner stopped staring at the wall for a bit and then turned his attention to Amir who addressed him.
I think you are right young man.
He then looked at Christina.
Don't worry about me. I will get home alright. Just slowly and if I don't you can ask the computer were I am at and pick me up there. You need to spend sometime out of your quarters. Can't be living in the past all the time young one.
He then kissed her on the forehead before speaking again to Amir.
It was nice to meet you and the others as well. I will check on the one in the morning. It looks like the other is currently in prayer. Tell her that I hope to meet her again sometime when she emerge.
He then got up with his tea cup. Smiled at all present and went to the bartender. Giving him the tea cup and then walking out of the bar. He was indeed ready for some bed time.

She smiled at Amir before responding to him.
It's nice to be out Lt. and since we are off duty would you mind if I call you Amir and you call me Christina? It would feel more fitting to me if you did and wouldn't mind.
She then felt Conner move next to her taking his arm down from around her shoulders. She looked him when he spoke with her and then kissed her on the forehead she smiled brightly at him and then responded.
Alright old man. Just don't get lost. I don't want to have to put a tracking collar on you.
She laughed a little and then turned her attention back to Amir noticing that the women that was still there was off by herself doing something.
Hopefully everyone is not running away because I came down here.
She said that jokingly to Amir knowing that he would get the good natured jest, and wondered in the back of her mind what the women was up to near the window.

She walks back to the table still lost with tears running down her face. She sits at the counter looking at the bartender yet not sure what else to order. She hopes Amirah comes back she misses her friend very much seems to understand her better because they've been through a lot together.

She wipes the tears from her eyes. She looks at her friend Amirah. Things are changing. I have seen it my own tribe's watcher is sick or dying nothing I can do now, but wait for another sign from the Great Spirit. The new contact....Amirah listen from my people. Do not trust strangers. She keeps her voice down so others can't hear what is being said just Amirah. Amirah trust me.

She looks at Oota worried. Listen Oota he isn't here for anything like that. Relax. Oota why not take some time and try to find out from your gods for guidence. You seem like you could use some. The look on your face right now you look like your best friend died. What's wrong?

That's because my best friend who watches the tribe from the air is extremely sick and could be dying. I saw a vision. I'm thinking of hiding Lenmana in the meantime. I don't think the Captain would want a baby at the dinner thing. She sighs a bit not sure what to do. He wants me there and I got a baby. I don't want her with a crew member.

Of course, Commander - I mean Christina, That's fine. I think the Captain wants us all to be little less formal when off duty. I wouldn't get familiar like that with the Captain until I get to know him a little better. ::He smiled, and was glad that the new crew may be gelling into the family his old crew didn't get a chance to do. Polaris is a great ship, but he often wondered what kind of adventures he could have had on Numeria, had the war not cancelled those plans.::She wipes the tears from her eyes. ::He listened to the conversaton, and Oota talk about her fears. This concerned him.::Oota. ::He began:: Back when the Delta maxia Colony was just beginning, A lot of people there were like that for a long time. When the Colony was still young, before it became a full, independent Planet, A klingon ship tried to wipe us out. They were not our friends back then. My Great Grandfather's ship, the USS Ticonderoga, Defended that colony to the death. The ship's crew was beamed to the surface before the battle. Many people on Delta maxia today, like me, are descendents of that crew.
My Fiend was alive at that time. The only ...living member of the crew still alive. His name is HuMaxx. He's an android now. Back then, he was a humanoid Robot. My Grandfather built his body.
Both he and his Captain, Orien Raintree, took on the Klingons alone.
Oota you come from a long line and a proud Heritage. I have read about the history of your people and much of it is unpleasant. Your ancestors were driven off their sacred lands and for many years forced to lead lives of despotism.
Oota I think that the genetic memory of your people is strong, and this is where your fear of strangers stems from.
Oota, we cannot live on the assumption that people, and races are guilty until proven innicent in our eyes. everyone must be given an opportunity to gain trust. We learned to trust the Klingons, didn't we?

She listens to what Amir has to say. He did make a lot of sense of her position. The tears filled her eyes as he understood her fears better than anyone. Yes. I'll give this astronaunt a chance. It's not an easy step for me. I still don't know if the Captain will accept me bring Lenmana with me.

You can't exactly leave her in your quarters either without a babysitter. You need to bring her out in the open instead of keeping her there let her explore things to. Maybe the Captain will let you bring her since you can't leave her in your quarters without supervision.

She smiled and nodded when Amir used her name instead of her rank to call her by since they were all off duty. She then listened to what Oota had to say and the Amirah before speaking on the matter.
Oota, if you feel more comfortable having your baby with you instead of in quarters then by all means keep her here with you. If the Captain has a problem with it I will talk to him personally about it. I drought that he will though he seams to understand that family sometimes needs our attention more then duty.

::Listening to the conversation, Amir smiled, leaning back and taking a sip of his drink.::
I don't see whay the Captain wouldn't be Ok with it. This isn't supposed to be "duty" it's a celebration. We're here to learn about these people, and to tell them about us. We're the strangers here. Some of these people may be scared of us. Here we are, this big ship, and lt's face it, Polaris was built to be a warship as well as other things, I think it would be wonderful to let them see that we have babies and families on the ship.
And Oota, you need to trust the Captain's instincts. If these people were up to something he'd sense it.
I think Christina can back me up when I tell the story of when we were still back on the USS Optimus.
Admiral Malc gave the Captain Command of the Optimus at the end of the Impostor war. He was ssigned, along with the Concord, to deliver relief and medical supplies to planets, colonies, bases, whoever needed help.
Our first "Errand of mercy" was Marcus XII. We had also recieved a faint signal from Starbase 714 at one point. We couldn;t even tell if it was real or not.
Well, Captain Dantara chose to come out to SB714 first. Everyone else thought that we should have gone to Macus XII first. They needed help.
When we got to 714, we found the base almost void of power, except one area. we went in to investigate, and found over a hundred survivors left there. Their remianing life support was about to fail.
We got those people off the base and found something else there, as well. This ship. And there were Kzinti on the way. I powered up the Pollaris' warp and impulse cores, and it was like she was saying "Finally, I get to do something!"
Optimus and Polaris together, easily scared that Armada off after we fed them a salvo of quantum torpedoes.
After that, We pulled all the remaing medical supplies off the base and off the Optimus and loaded them on Polaris. Admiral Malc gave Brock command of the Polaris, while he returned to SB 141 on the Optimus with the survivors. He retired after that.
Not only did we make it to Marcus XII in record time, but having all those exptra supplies was Godsend. Optimus Couldn't carry enough in her cargo bays. Polaris could.
So you see, Oota, The Captain's instincts not only saved all those people, but we got this ship as well.

A few tears down her cheeks. It would be a first big step for me to do this especially bringing Lenmana to dinner. I usually trust signs from the Gods first. I'm not getting any. Maybe Amir they they are telling me what you are and to trust the Captain. It seems they are going through the samething my people did. I hioe we can help them somehow before they end up like my people did.

You won't be walking alone as long as you are on this ship. Amirah, Amir and myself will all make sure of it Oota, and I am sure as long as you remember what your people went through that these people won't go down that path. Because just by you remembering and sharing the stories of your people with others we are better able to protect others like your people from being hurt from our actions, and perhaps in the process spare them some suffering.
She then paused to think a little.
There is a saying I once heard that the mistakes of the past can't be repeated if we remember and pass on those memories to another generation or even another people.
She hoped she was making some seance because sometimes she just rambled in situations like this when she wasn't quite sure what is appropriate speech.

She nods her head hoping that Christina is right. She looks very broken hearted over the situation. You think it's going to teach other alien races something? What's stopping any alien race from taking another one's home? Federation didn't exactly put a stop to the Klingon and Romulan empires. They do as they please with those planets they conquered.

::Brock came up to the table, seeing his crew involved in conversation. He was leaving the kitchen area of Ten forward with a round decorated in food.::
Hello, everyone! I'm glad to see all of you socializing. I thought I'd let you all test out the first fresh Sushi made on Polaris by yours truly. We grew the rice and the Seaweed Right in our hydroponic gardens, The fish are from our own fish hatchery, as are the shrimp.
::He put the plate down in the middle of the table.::
Grab a pair of chopsticks and tell me how you like it. I ran a Sushi Bar back on Startos that my Sensei owned along with the Dojo.
Now, for those of you who don't like raw food, I have a shrimp tempura roll. The others are salmon and tuna.
If you don't eat meat, I have some seaweed salad, rice, and a teryaki vegetable stir-fry with tofu. Should be something for everyone. I miss cooking, so I thought I'd have some fun. I find it very theraputic and tranquilizing.
::He could see that his Counselor was troubled about something. he really didn't get the gist of the conversation, though. He sat at the table himself and began to make himself a plate.::
My Wife used to love Sushi. I made it for her all the time. Sometimes I think that's why she married me.
::He remembered that she wouldn't eat it the last time he made it for her. That was when He began to suspect that she was an Impstor, And probably why she dissapeared shortly thereafter.::

She watches as the Captain enters. She looks back at Oota. Why don't you get your daughter. I don't think the Captain would like it if he knew that she was in your quarters without supervision. We'll be here.

She sighs a bit upset about the whole thing. I guess I should bring her and discuss it with the Captain. She slowly gets up from the chair. If you would all excuse me for a few moments I shall return. She walks towards the door quickly. She leaves the lounge going back to her quarters to get her daughter.

She slowly walks back into the lounge carrying her daughter in her arms. She is a bit scared to even bring her in the lounge. She expects the Captain to probably scream at her for doing so. She walks slowly back over to where she was sitting. She sits down at the table. The baby starts crying since she is scared of the new place and sounds. Sorry we took so long.
