Lt. Steven C. McLeod recording... ... .. . \\Begin Log It was so nice to have that period of Shore Leave. Seeing Ash, and the rest of the Clan was such a blessing, or rather those that I did see. I told Ash about Mackenzie being married and his wife being pregnant, and she about had a heart attack. 'Course I had to get sick on leave and miss the first duty shift with the new crew. Interesting bunch we seemed to have picked up...Should be confident. Anyways on to the duty shift, We engaged the QSD for the first time. Seemed to go smoothly enough, Commander Rivers approved me getting some time in Slipstream on manual just in case we have to engage it during a hostile situation. As we came out near the Starbase in question a ship began approaching us, last time I saw one of those was when I was in training with the Corp, a Kzin vessel. Captain Dantara had me out manuver the vessel. While the brainics did something, not quite sure what. Anyways, battle looks likely...oughta be fun... Hooah! Lt. Steven Cleburn McLeod \\End Log . .. ...

Lieutenant Steven C. McLeod Recording: //Begin Log... ... .. . We have defeated the Kzin Aramda. A creative, albeit very dangerous maneuver ordered by Captain Dantara of placing the Polaris on an collision course with the fleet and at last minute engaging the QSD which sent the Fleet into basically a singularity. That aside we witnessed a First Warp flight of the folks on Beta T. I kind of hope the Captain will allow me to take part in the First Contact. //End Log ... .. .

Not a lot to report really. During the First Contact I ,ostly set on my duf while the Cap and Doc did the leg work. The AT I went on with Commander Rivers was quite an experience. Seeing the young girl so scared that looked like Brooke...

Start Recording... ... .. . Lieutenant Steven C. McLeod recording: . . . The insolence of those so called Elite Squad folks known as Red Squad. They couldn't even pass basic Marine Flight and so washed out and ended up badgering us around. I must say though Captain Dantara impressed me with his handling of the situation. The one thing that puzzles me though is how jokers like that got a hold of a Promethus Class...Right now I got my hind quarters sticking out of the helm panel while I try to figure out what they did to my panel. Got work to do. . .. ... End Recording

Lt. Shian Dantara Personal Log Stardate 62173.5
I attended the memorial service for the Dominion and her crew today. Though I wasn't familiar with them or what had happened, other than what is in the logs, I went as support for my husband and the Polaris crew.
However, from the moment I put on the uniform again, I just have not felt right. I feel detached from things. When I saw myself in the mirror, in my uniform, it was like it wasn't even me I was seeing.
But I accompanied Brock to the services. I still wasn't feeling right, however. Looking around at the others, I was so removed from everything in the room. Once the services were over, I really just wanted to get out of there. I requested to leave so that I could return to the bridge.
At this point, if I was sitting at conn, I'd at least have something to focus on. After all these months of dreading it.
And I was officially reinstated as flight control officer and Lieutenant. I am once again a Starfleet officer.
Close log.

Flight Control Officer's Log Stardate 62193.9
We were heading to dock with Starbase 266. I had Polaris just in the hangar bay, a near perfect docking. But, the Captain returned to the bridge after a message from Admiral Helm and directed us to head out and set course for Angel One.
He failed to mention the details of this emergency journey except that we were to be on alert. We left dock right away, managing to get one new crew member aboard before we were too far away.
We went into slipstream and I was quite confident I could keep the ship in line on manual. It was during mid-slipstream, though, that the Captain decided to tell us what the situation was.
I nearly threw the ship into the side of the slipstream tunnel when he said it. I was shaking, both with a bit of fear and a lot of angst.
I managed to keep the ship on course, though. The thought of hurting any of this crew by my own actions was more than I could bear. That was the only thing I could do.
We finally reached the area, dropped out of slipstream and immediately went after the Impostor Akira-class. I caught up with it, gave Mr. Khambatti some decent shots, I'd hoped. We got it, though, and as they have a habit of doing, apparently, they set for self-destruct once we disabled them.
Afterwards, I put into high orbit around Angel One and the Captain called a conference.
I end this log here.

Flight Control Officer's Log Stardate 62211.9
After our briefing in the conference room, an unidentified ship came up on sensors. The Captain called for yellow alert status. Retaking my station from Lieutenant Griggs, I saw that navigational systems were in diagnostic mode linked to increased alert status.
We set course for the ship, which was identified as some sort of transport ship, carrying equipment. We launched into attack mode, raising to red alert.
I did my best to give tactical several good shots. In the end, the Captain requested a reverse Sierra 2. I set the ship to follow and we launched torpedos, special ones, apparently, which made their mark.
Following their standard course of action, they self-destructed after their ship began to lose hull integrity from the stern forward.
The Captain has called upon another fleet ship to request assistance, I believe. We are undergoing rescue efforts on the Taurus, who were hit during the battle with this Imposter ship.
Computer, end log.

Flight Control Officer's Log Stardate 62231.1
The fleet reinforcements joined us and we went in after the Impostors. We entered some sort of cloud formation and basically flushed them out. We discovered their artificial planet hidden within the cloud as well.
The enemy fired upon us, we took some minor damage, including some to our shield system.
I will not further comment on this battle nor the enemy we face. For further detail, please refer to my records.
Computer, close log.
