She came into her office knowing full well that at anytime during a rotation a crew member could come in and ask her about anything. She remembered fondly the conversation she had with Amir about his puppy and still how the puppy licked her face. She smiled as she took up her seat and began to poor over the reports that have been filed. She wanted to know how the rotation schedules were working for each department now that they had time to implement them. Even though her focus was on the computer still she had an ear listening for any noise that might indicate someone was in her office needing her attention.

She heard the chime the moment it went off and put aside what she was working on at the time and responded to it.
You can come in the door is unlocked.
She then remained seated at the desk and waited for the person to enter.

She heard the introduction and saw the way he was standing.
You can stand easy or even sit down if you want to Lt. Ramius. I was expecting you to come down and see me since you are the new tactical officer. Hopefully you have read the specs on the ship and are familiar where the shield ad miters are at as well as all the weapons we are capable of carrying. It is also my understanding you will be taking care of security as well. Meet up with the temporary department head and relieve her of her post and then take up those duties as well if that is the case.
She then paused for a moment.
Any questions now would be the time to ask it. I didn't give much instructions because you are a well rounded officer and your record is a good one.
She then paused and waited for him to respond to what she had to say so far. She knew that it came out quick but that is what she did. Got down to business first and then after that would talk more causally when off duty. She had questions for him but would wait until he absorbed what she told him and she answered any questions that he had so far.

I'm sure then you will find this duty a much more duller job then flying around. I will keep that in mind should a situation come up and we need a good fighter pilot though Lt. I won't keep you here. Socialization with the crew is encouraged not ordered so feel free to explore when you are off duty. In other words if you got nothing further for me you are dismissed.
She then smiled a little at him just to show him that the serious women that had been looking at him also was friendly too. That she would be willing to talk to him whenever he needed her to.

A nod of the head was given.
"Thank you Ma'am.. I shall see you at another time and I thank you for the talk.. "
He would walk out of her office to go and see the others that may be about.

She nodded and then watched him go out of her office. Once the door closed again and she didn't hear anyone else wanting her she went back to working on the report that she was working on before the Lt. walked in to report to her. To her the crew was coming along nicely and she couldn't be prouder.

She gave him a once look over saw that he was limping and raised a brow at his statement. I don't think you are going to be up on your feet that soon Ryan. At least not with the two Doctor's we got on board. They'll keep you a few days before letting you run on your own. Consider yourself on a medical leave of absence until the Doctor's down in sickbay medically clear you for duty again. Your personal health is a priority. That's why your department is so big, so encase one or more are down the others can pick up the slack no issues. Just notify me who you are leaving in charge in your absence for two days and what is exspected. I can keep an extra careful eye on them if you like and get yourself better.

Alright, get better soon Ryan, but don't push it. If you got nothing else for me go ahead and limp back to sickbay. I don't want to go without our best security officer for too long.

She heard the chime go off and then looked at the door before putting the padd away that she was working on. Calling out in a clear and commanding voice she spoke.
Come, the door is open.
She waited to see who was comming to see her in her office. As the visits from the crew in her office were rare.

She waited for the person to come in as they did not after a while she figured that they must have gotten bord or even that it was someone running around the ship playing a pratical joke. She didn't know all she knew was that she went back to work on the project that she found herself thinking about lately with the crew changing everyday it seamed like. More and more she was thinking about the possibility of the ship becoming more a ship of peace and not of war. How Starfleet allowed families to be with officers and how that could possibly change the demanic of the ship.
She knew as XO she had an obligation to think about these things and that she did a whole lot more then just sit in the chair on the bridge and assist the Captain. That she sometimes did most of her more meaningful work with the Captain when they were both in their respective offices. She sent the message she wanted to the Captain and see if he liked the idea of hers that she had for new exspecting mommies that were on the ship. The Cheif Engineer and Cheif of Security are both exspecting now and she was exspecting for a while before she lost the child. She wanted to make sure that everyone was being looked after properly and knew the Captain would listen as he was recently united with his wife and who knows there might be something like that in their fuchure.
With that duty text sent to the Captain's terminal in his office she left her's so to be able to spend some much needed time with Lu. As Lu showed up on the ship a few days ago and they needed to talk about things before his leave was up from his ship.

She entered her ready room after a long hall at the sickbay. She was ready for duty and ready to get back to reading all the wounderful department reports. Everyone seamed to be on top of their stations. Reports were comming in on time and the ship seamed to be running as smoothly and as efforlessly as if it were running through water and not space. That made her smile. She began with the department readyness reports. Then after a while moved onto department efficancy reports. She then found her mind waundering off into her own thoughts for a while.
That is when she got up to the replicator and got some water to drink. She then returned back to the reports reading them all over for the past few days. Doing what she could to keep the Captain in touch with the crew. That was her job. To let him know what was going on so he could Captain the ship to the best of his tallents. She was greatful to be here and greatful for the ability to, in someway, follow the footsteps of her mother and be in a command like post. She only hopted that the Captain would be pleased with her performance and not disapointed and the same goes for the crew. For both were equally important for her to be connected to.
