She stood as he did and noded.
The Surviver's Syndrom that I have battled since I was a little girl made me say the things to you that I did. I know under normal circomstance you to be a resaonable man, but in the heat of battle or even breifly thinking upon what they did to you wife. With that type of emotional pressure one must hear from an outside voice the reminder to stay objective.
This ship and this crew is under your command. I do not forsee anyone saying no to the challange. However, you wished me to lecture you so I did. Like any other Commander who were to be in my place would have to their Captain. There is however one more matter I must speak to you upon before duty is resumed. One in which I have been dreading for a long while.

::He stopped for a moment, laying the PADDs back on the table.::
Alright, Christina, What is it? is something the matter?

She stood there for a moment and clapsed her hands behind her back and then looked at the Captain. Worry was on her face when she responded.
For the moment no. However, as Captain you need to know this. Prior to the Optimus picking me up from the Numeria run in with the imposters...I was contacted by one...there was no words just images. Saying the Optimus's name and the Admeral's as well forced that memory to the serfice. I beleive I know why I saw my parents on the Numeria now, and why...I'm sorry, sir. I can't go into detail. Just know that I'll remain at my post for as long as I am able to.

What exactly do you mean, Commander? I'm afraid you're going to have to go into detail. If something is wrong, I want to know about it.
You're my Fist officer, and I rely on you for that. If something is going to happen, I need to know.
::He sat forward::
Exactly what does "As long as I am able" Mean?

She sat back down into the chair and looked at him.
As you may or maynot know Captain Lu Chang is on board. His ship the USS Nighthawk is in space dock. He suffers from the same type of mental trama I do from the war with the Imposters. The probing of the mind that they did to...exstract the most painful memory and then make us re-live it until we were able to block it or the Imposter that is responsable for it was distroyed. Both of our cases it was the latter but still...when certain names are brought up it triggers us to re-laps into the cycle of reliving the memory. So, when I say I will remain at post for as long as I am possible. I mean for as long as I am able to control my enternal emotions and still function as a first officer should Captain.

::He sat, thinking for a moment. He knew that war had been hard on her. She lost her ship, and passed up a chance to rest on SB 141 choosing instead to come directly to Optimus to get to work.::
Have you discussed this with Medical? Both Dr's?

I have talked to Regal about it and he says I have PTS from the misscarage as I did not discuss with him prior to that occurance as he was deeply...distrubed. McCoy has been extrodinarly busy with work and other things so I have left him to do his duties rather then speak to him about the matter. I have however been corrisponding with a family friend on Vulcan mind techniques. His name is Spock, and he has been disaplining me on my lack of pratice and was woundering if it would be possible for his shuttle to meet up with Polaris at somepoint to reafirm his teachings with me and to reinfoce my failing meantal block on that aprt of the war.

::His eyes perked up::
Spock? Ambassador Spock? Wants to come aboard? Well,....that would certainly be an honor.
::Smiles:: I had no idea you had such illustrious friends, Commander.
As soon as the matter here this sector is stabilized, we'll be underway. You'll arrange a rendezvous at that point.
Also, Admiral Helm along with Ambassador O'Connor are on the way out here to assist with the peace talks and finalize the membership of the Kuallan Republic.
I for one am happy. That means less paper work for me.

I will arrange the approperate spot for the Ambassador Captain. May I make a suggestions as to who will be the welcoming party for him? If not I understand sir. He's been kind of like a father to me since my own passed away and I think the person I got in mind to meet him would make him...happy.
The child like giddy that was all over her Captain made her speak the way that she did to him. Like he was a man and not a solider in that instant. She knew that these times were rare and should be treasured with equal frankness on her part.

I would like to suggest Doctor McCoy to be the welcoming party for the Ambassaor Captain. I think it would do the both some good to meet once more. Especially since there are so few of the crew left from Kirk's time.

Well, I can certainly appreciate that, However, We don;t know exactly how the two of them will initially recieve each other. I think perhaps you should greet him and give him a tour of the ship.
I think they should save that meeting for a more private setting. W ehave nothing pressing coming up, so I intend to take a few hours of down time. I'll be leaving you in charge of the ship.

She looked at him her eye stone cold.
If that is the case then I must ask you before you stand down and leave the ship in my charge what your standing orders are, sir. That is protical for me to ask.
She stood and hand her hands clasped behind her back waiting for his responce.

I'm not leaving the ship, Christina. I'll probably in the holodeck or the Arboretum. It's only for a few hours. I'm reachable if you need me.
As far as what to do.....Run the ship. Keep everyone on task. Don't collide with any asteroids, You know, the usual.

She noded.
Understood sir. I will notify you when the Ambassadors and the Admeral are on board as well as anything else you may need to know about while you take leave. Making the intruptions as breif as possible and little as well, sir. Am I dismissed?

::He stood up again, with PADDs in hand.::
Yes, Christina, Dismissed. Please send my best regards to the Ambassador when he arrives, and tell him that I'll be attending him as soon as I'm finished. Dr. McCoy will be with me. We'll meet him together. This should prove interesting, but they'll need some time alone.

She noded and headed for the door but not befor turning around to face the Captain.
Protical will be observed and alone time will be allowed for but only when both are ready.
She then turned back to walk out the door of the office and to go about attending the ship.

::Brock was going over the damage asessment report. Polaris came through good, but she had taken a pounding.
A little time off wold be good right about now. The upcoming wedding should raise everyone's spirits.
He hit the comm panel::

She heard the comm go off in her office and responded to it. "I'm on my way Captain." She got up from her desk and walked the short distant from her office to his. Comming to his door she rang the chime to be polite even though she knew he was there for that was where the comm came from.
